Parish Council
At last we have a credit note for the Junior goal posts, returned to Nottingham because they were not strong enough.
A broken seat on the Recreation Ground is to be mended, and dangerous trees on Whittington playing field are to be  dealt with.
The Council will contact Highways yet again about the state of High Street, following the botched re- surfacing last Autumn. Highways have said that the road will be done again in the Summer, but we want it dealt with now.
The kitchen roof  on the Village Hall has been renewed.
Warning signs have been placed either side of Whittington Recreation Ground.
The new code of conduct for Parish Councillors was discussed. It was felt that having to declare all property and gifts would put people off from serving a Councillors. Councillors must declare all gifts over 25. Does this include family Christmas presents?
The Council also dislikes the proposal to take major planning decisions away from local Councils.
Work on the Tennis Court should start soon.
Gravestones in the cemetery are to checked for safety.

Forget me not club
Children from Class 2 of the School entertained members by reading poems they had written. It is strange that there are over 200 pensioners in Northwold, but so few support the club. The next meeting on March 19th is an Easter service conducted by Rev John Rowsell, with Guests from Stoke Ferry.

The Club Easter Service was attended by members and guests from Stoke Ferry. The Service was taken by Canon John Rowsell with Janet Deacon at the organ. Members provided a good tea afterwards.
Carer Group
The menu for the March lunch was spicy pork with vegetables, and apple pie. School waiters were Elizabeth Johnson and Amber Taylor.

Produce show
At the A G M Francis Everett was re-elected Chairman, with his wife Eunice as Secretary. The accounts showed a small profit last year. This year's show will be on Saturday 7th September, with all entries to be notified on the 6th. The Committee would love to see more entries.
