Northwold's News

Reports on activities, news and events in and around Northwold

On Sunday we had a "Northwold In Bloom" day, with several gardens open, and other attractions including ploughman's lunches, cream teas, raffles, guess the weight of a highland bull, visit the belfry, play croquet and assorted stalls. On a very hot sunny day a good number of people called, and the hall gained over 1,000. A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped.
Bridge at the Hall?
Bridge players from as far away as Wisbech together with others from Downham Market, Swaffham, Saham Toney and our own Northwold Club joined together making up 12 tables for a very enjoyable afternoon's Bridge with a superb tea made and donated by our Northwold WI members.
With the raffle, sale of cakes and books 240 was raised for the roof fund.
Our visitors left expressing their enjoyment and thanks for the afternoon, and would like to say a big thank you to all who cooked, donated and helped to run our successful afternoon.
