Care Group
The monthly lunch was fish pie with vegetables, and apple crumble served by Hannah Shorthose and Rebekah Chilvers. The next lunch on November 10th is followed by the A G M. We have plenty of room for more customers.
The community car scheme continues to function well, but we could do with more volunteer drivers.

Forget me Not Club
On December 9th we are having an open meeting to hear about Norfolk Air Ambulance. Everyone is invited. Please come to the Village Hall at 2pm.

Father Christmas is coming …TO NORTHWOLD!
Arrangements have been made for FC himself to visit Northwold on the

evening of Saturday 20th December.
He's usually fairly busy at this time of year, but always sets aside a little time to make a pre-Christmas visit to certain selected communities (this being in lieu of Northwold not having a Department Store where he can take-up residence).
FC has said that he'll have a few minutes to visit certain households so long as they make a donation to the Village Hall roof fund (as he damaged it trying to find the chimney on a previous occasion).
Everyone will be able to see FC touring the Northwold village streets between 5 and 8pm on Saturday 20th, giving out sweets, with his helpers collecting for the roof fund.
If you want to arrange a personal visit to your house during the evening, for a donation of £3 for the first child, and £2 per additional child, he will visit with a modest gift per child - they'll still get their usual nocturnal visit on Christmas Eve!
To request a house visit, simply fill-in the form at the bottom of this page, detach and pop it (along with a cheque/cash for the donations) into the special box in Northwold Village Shop (
by Sat 13th Dec). Please ensure you provide all the requested information to avoid disappointment.
Don't forget, Saturday 20th December, 5-8pm… see next month's Village Life for a route map.
